Meet the visionary behind Haluan Coffee and Tea, a man whose life has been nothing short of a testament to resilience and the healing power of routine.
A Sailors Journey
After a distinguished 17.5-year career in the Navy, our founder saw his service come to an unexpected end in 2021. His time was largely spent in Afghanistan, where the harsh realities of war were a daily companion. Loss was a constant – friends and comrades fell in combat or to the silent enemy of suicide.
The Ritual That Saved
Amidst the turmoil, he discovered a sanctuary in the simple act of brewing and sipping coffee. This wasn't just any coffee; it was his lifeline. Stationed in a remote area, he had coffee beans mailed to him from around the world. Each morning, atop a mud hut, he would watch the Afghan sunrise, cup in hand, finding solace and a moment of mental clarity. This ritual became his anchor, providing just enough calm to navigate through his darkest hours and eventually, to make significant life changes.

Inspired by this transformative experience, he founded Haluan Coffee and Tea. Our mission is simple yet profound: to share the peace and focus that our founder found through his coffee ritual. Each batch of our coffee is freshly roasted to order, drawing from ethically sourced beans worldwide. But our commitment doesn't end with the coffee.
