Smooth, never bitter.
Most of our regulars drink it black. Not because they're tough, but because there's nothing to cover up. Bitterness in most coffee comes from beans that are stale, low grade or roasted too dark. We fix all three.
- Fresh roasted. Roasted in small batches and shipped fresh, not aged for months in a warehouse. Coffee loses its sweetness as it goes stale and turns flat and harsh.
- Specialty-grade beans. Carefully sourced coffee from named regions and growers, with natural sweetness you can taste.
- Roasted to the sweet spot. Most of our coffees are roasted medium, which brings out chocolate and caramel instead of burnt, ashy bitterness.
- The right grind. Ground for your brewer, so it doesn't over-extract, the most common cause of a bitter cup.

How does the Coffee of the Month Club work?
You get one 12 oz bag of a different fresh roasted coffee each month for $24.99 with free shipping. Choose whole bean, standard (drip) or coarse grind. The club follows a 12-coffee lineup and pauses automatically after Box 12. You can skip or cancel anytime from your account.
How does the Tea of the Month Club work?
You get a different loose leaf tea each month for $19.99 with free shipping, from an 8-tea lineup of black, green and rooibos teas. It pauses automatically after Box 8, and more teas are coming soon.
Can I give a club as a gift?
Yes. Choose a prepaid plan, paid once: 3, 6 or 12 months of coffee, or 3 or 6 months of tea. Longer plans save more. Or send a gift card and let them pick.
Which grind should I choose?
Whole bean if you grind at home, which keeps coffee fresh longest. Standard grind for drip machines and pour over. Coarse grind for French press and cold brew.
How does Build a Box work?

How should I store my coffee?
Keep it in an airtight container away from light, heat and moisture, at room temperature. Avoid the fridge, where coffee picks up moisture and odors. For the best flavor, brew within a few weeks of opening.
